PROCESSION 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Join the costume procession that kicks off the Splash! festival and honor Mami Wata, the water deity revered around the world. Come dressed as your favorite water god or goddess, merman, ocean creature, snake charmer, sea captain, water nymph, sailor or siren. Community groups and schools are encouraged to participate. Prizes for categories including: Mermaid King and Queen, Wettest, Most Reptilian, Sexiest and Most Musical.

FESTIVAL 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Stay for the festival and enjoy food, music and dance from the many countries where Mami Wata is celebrated. Groove to performances by Viver Brasil (1:30 pm) and Balobi Bandeko (2:30 pm). Visit interactive water-science attractions and shop at the Mami Wata marketplace.

Free Admission, $8 Parking.
