Metro Station Activations
Community Arts Resources worked with LA Metro to produce eleven World Cup 26 station activations for the community of Los Angeles to come together and experience the local joy of an international sporting event, right at the Metro stop already in their neighborhood. From June 12th through July 19th, sixteen Metro rail and bus stations across the county, Downtown Inglewood to Little Tokyo, Pomona to Hollywood/Highland, each turned into its own pop up celebration timed to match days and neighborhood events already happening nearby.
Every stop paired Metro's own outreach and rider resources, TAP sales, bike share, hydration stations, with programming CARS produced: live performers, DJs, interactive workshops, local food vendors, and screens broadcasting match highlights placing you right in the action. CARS worked with a different community partner in each location to ensure that each community was represented authentically to support local business and community.

On the Road: The Rally Wagon
Not every activation was fixed to one spot. The Rally Wagon, CARS' commissioned mobile interactive workshop unit, rolled from station to station for hands on, kid focused play, running alongside partners like Girls Play LA and Angel City FC. It hit four Metro stops directly, then crossed over the two biggest weekends of the tournament to anchor programming at both of LA County's official World Cup Fan Zones.
